Official: Unemployment growth risk in Russia rises ‘16
MOSCOW, Feb 12 (PRIME) – Russia’s risk of rising unemployment in 2016 is higher than in 2015, Deputy Economic Development Minister Oleg Fomichyov said to legislators on Friday.
“We also plan to continue support, or rather the regional employment program, we are now discussing it, the amount of such support. We understand that this year, the risks are quite high and whereas last year, there was no serious increase in unemployment, this year, the risks are higher,” Fomichyov said.
Labor Minister Maxim Topilin said earlier that unemployment is hoped not to exceed 6% in 2016.
